I’m a proud South Sider running to represent Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District. With deep experience in public service and a bold vision for equity, I have spent my career fighting for working families and delivering real results. If we want to change things, we can’t afford to waste time on political grandstanding and performative activism. I promise to speak up for programs that help everyday people and now, I’m ready to bring that leadership to Washington.

Adal Regis is a seasoned public servant and policy strategist with a track record of delivering results for communities across Illinois’ 2nd District. As District Representative for Congresswoman Robin Kelly, he helped secure millions in federal funding for local governments, small businesses, and nonprofits.
Now, as Director of Strategy at a Chicago-based environmental justice nonprofit, he leads clean energy and climate resilience initiatives in neighborhoods historically excluded from investment. He also serves on Governor JB Pritzker’s Task Force on Black Immigrants and works closely with grassroots organizations through the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. Adal’s experience spans local, state, and federal systems—making him uniquely equipped to advocate for affordable housing, public safety, environmental equity, and economic opportunity at scale.
Born in New York and raised in Haiti, he came to Chicago and earned a master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago’s Harris School. After settling in Hyde Park, he spent the next five years deeply engaged in the civic life of the South Side and the broader IL-02 district. His lived experience informs his dedication to making sure no one has to struggle just to survive. He’s not only invested in this community—he’s shaped by it.
